How to Cook Rizopia Pasta

1.
In a large saucepan bring water to the boil, add salt if desired.

2.
Add the required amount of Rizopia pasta and cook uncovered for about 7-10 minutes (We prefer our pasta firm so only boil for 7 minutes). Stir the pasta often while it’s cooking to stop it sticking.

3.
Drain the pasta in to a colander in the sink and rinse with cold water (We put it in to a bowl of cold water)

4. Instantly drain the pasta again and pour the contents of a boiling kettle of water over it while in the colander.Your pasta should be perfect and ready to serve.

Tips
If cooking Spaghetti or Fettuccine add the pasta required in small amounts stirring as soon as the pasta softens, this stops the strands sticking together.

If Cooking Pasta for Later
Method 1, do not reheat until the pasta is required, with the pasta still in colander, pour boiling water over pasta, allowing water to drain into the sink. Separate pasta pieces and serve.
Method 2, after initially draining pasta, allow to cool in a colander until you can handle it. Using your hands, work some olive oil through the slightly cooled pasta. Later, when required, reheat pasta by refreshing with boiling water.
